Field of Application:

  • Piping: For protection against external corrosion of buried, above ground or immersed carbon steel, alloyed steel and ductile iron pipelines structures.
  • Field joints: For protection against external corrosion of buried, above ground or immersed carbon steel, alloyed steel and ductile iron pipeline girth-weld joints.
  • Fittings: For protection against external corrosion of buried, above ground or immersed carbon steel, alloyed steel and ductile iron pipe fittings such as elbows, bends, tees, reducers, flanges, etc.
  • Pipe coating repair and rehabilitation: For repair, rehabilitation, and protection against external corrosion of pipeline coating defects.
  • Tank base protection: Highly effective corrosion protection and sealing system for the transition area from steel to concrete in aboveground tank bases.

BUTYLEN tape systems:

Used on field joints, girth welds, fittings & full-length pipe protection, as well as coating rehabilitation.

  • A range of advanced co-extruded 3-ply tapes suitable for various applications.
  • Very long lasting corrosion protection using self-amalgamating co-extruded PE/butyl-rubber tapes.
  • Easy to apply- application using devices, reducing the risk of making mistakes to a minimum. 
  • Versatile applications – for welded seam encapsulating, renovation/ rehabilitation, pipe bends and T-pieces.
  • No spiral corrosion, sealing by molecular inter diffusion.
  • Compatibility to factory coating PE, PP, FBE, PU, CTE, bitumen and others.
  • High mechanical resistance and High UV resistance.
  • High indentation and penetration.
  • Minimum shielding and no interference of cathodic-protection (CP) current.
  • For operating temperatures of -40°C to +100°C.
  • Approved by the “DIBT”, “DVGW“, ”COPRO”, “TGM“ among others.
  • DIN-DVGW approved systems according to EN 12068 and DIN 30672 for classes B 30 to    C 50.

PETROLATUM TAPES & MASTICS – PLASTELEN:

Petrolatum Tapes & Mastics for Corrosion Prevention of Irregularly Shaped Metal Objects. The best way to protect irregular shaped metal objects in pipeline construction is by applying a highly comfortable Petrolatum Tape. Adding a Rockshield to Petrolatum Tape will give an excellent mechanical protection.

Valves, Flanges and House Entry Connections can all be well protected with Petrolatum Tapes.

  • Retrospective encapsulating system for flanges and shaped parts based on proven PETROLATUM technology.
  • DIN-DVGW certification according to EN 12068 and DIN 30672 for class A 30 (PLASTELEN®-PLAST).
  • For operating temperatures of -40°C to +110°C.
  • Flanges remain easily accessible.
  • Simple application without any special tools.

DEKOTEC® Shrink sleeves & repair systems:

DEKOTEC® shrink sleeves are used successfully across the world as reliable corrosion prevention on welding seams in pipes and pipelines. DEKOTEC® Mastic, Hotmelt and Butyl shrink sleeves are exceptionally high quality and are easy and quick to apply.

Hotmelt sleeve with extremely high temperature resistance for protecting welded seams on steel pipes against corrosion.

Marine Protect:
