Steel Shot and Grit

Anjam partners with Ervin Amasteel, the largest steel abrasives manufacturer for shotblaster applications since 1920s in serving many industries such as pipe and vessels coating, fabrication, structural steel, surface finishing, rail, shipyards, stone, and others.

Ervin products are made of martensitic High Carbon Steel that allows better energy transfers to the surface and hence superior blasting, cutting and cleanness characteristics compared with the low carbon steel.

Alternatively, Ervin uses cast Stainless Steel to offer three different abrasive products namely Amacast, Amachrome and Amagrit. Amacast is the highest quality and performance stainless blasting media for technical applications requiring a quality finish with strict cost control. Amachrome is a ferritic stainless abrasive media used in most impact treatments such as cleaning and deburring, and surface enhancement and finishing. Amagrit is used in all impact treatments such as blast cleaning, deburring, sweep blasting of hot dipped galvanized surfaces, surface treatment prior to coating, surface finishing, fine and structural blasting and water jet cutting.

Ervin Amasteel’s reputation is founded upon the consistency and class-leading performance of its products described below:

Shot

Ervin Amasteel shot complies with S.A.E. specifications J444 and J827, plus ISO specification 11124-3 and SSPC-AB3. This shot tested against equivalent manufacturers’ products averaged 21% better in terms of metallurgical structure.

Grit

Ervin Amasteel grit complies with S.A.E. specifications J444 and J1993, plus ISO specification 11124-3 and SSPC-AB3. This grit tested against all other manufacturers’ products averaged 15% better in terms of metallurgical structure.

Amamix

Amamix offers all of the benefits of improved transmitted energy and durability, fine-tuned to accommodate specific customer requirements. With a wide range of mixes to choose from, Ervin can recommend the right mix to provide the right balance for process cost, process speed, surface finish requirements, cleaning requirements, power and abrasive consumption.
