Concrete Corrosion Inhibitor
To maximize on having the full potential to meet corrosion challenges unique to the harsh environment in the region, Anjam collaborates with Cortec Middle East.
To protect reinforcing metal in concrete from corrosion, Cortec found the solution on Migrating Corrosion Inhibitor (MCI) which greatly extends the service life of new structures by delaying the onset of corrosion and keeping rates low after initiation. In rehabilitation projects, MCI applications penetrate a considerable distance to significantly reduce the corrosion rate (up to 80%).
MCI® products for Concrete
- MCI®-2005 – Organic amine carboxylate-based migrating corrosion inhibitor for enhancing the durabiity of reinforced concrete structures.
- MCI®-2020 – Surface-applied migrating corrosion inhibitor for the repair and maintenance of existing concrete structures to extand their remaining service life.
- MCI®-309 – Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor for effective protection of prestressing steel prior to grouting for up to 24 months. It does not require removal before grouting and can provied protection in grout voids.
- MCI® PTC Emitters – Breathable pouches containing migrating corrosion inhibitor powder for the protection of ferrous and galvanized post-tensioning cables and tendons.
- MCI® Minigrenades – Migrating Corrosion Inhibitor powder packed in water-soluble bags for addition to repair mortars.
- MCI® CorShield® Rust preventive for the protection of steel reinforcement exposed to delays in construction without affecting its bond with concrete.
